Website operation and security
Hosting and security infrastructure processes connection data such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser and operating system to deliver the website, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. We and appointed technical providers have access as needed for operation and support.
Contact and bookings
We use names, contact details, messages and appointment information you provide to answer enquiries and deliver agreed services. Email is available as a contact channel. Our Gmail address uses Google; WhatsApp and Instagram are optional Meta services. Their privacy policies also apply when you use them. Only send information needed for your enquiry.
Accounts, community and progress
Registration processes your username, email and credentials. Posts and comments may be publicly displayed with your chosen display name. Personal check-ins store ratings for Basics, Bodymovement, Connection and Musicality and an optional note in your account. Up to 20 entries are kept in this list; older entries are removed. Avoid health information in public posts and free-text notes.
Cookies and local preferences
Essential cookies may support login, security and requested features. Sense Compass stores only your latest training category in this browser under bachataSenseCompass in localStorage. The Compass feature does not transmit this preference to us. You can delete it below. The website theme adds no advertising pixels or audience analytics of its own. This theme version suppresses the previously used MonsterInsights/Google Analytics, Jetpack statistics and WooCommerce visitor-attribution integrations.
External media and social networks
YouTube, Spotify and, where embedded, TikTok players load only after you activate them. The provider then receives connection data including your IP address and may use cookies or similar technologies. Providers are Google/YouTube, Spotify and TikTok. Activation applies to the current page visit. Reloading ends the embed; you can remove provider cookies in your browser. Social links lead to external services governed by their own privacy policies.
Purposes and legal bases
We process data for website operation and security, enquiries, contracts, member features and legal obligations. Where GDPR applies, relevant bases are Article 6(1)(b) for contracts and enquiries, (c) for legal obligations, (f) for our legitimate interest in a secure, functional service, or (a) for consent, particularly optional media activation.
Recipients and international processing
Appointed hosting and IT providers and the communication or media services you select receive data needed for their services. Google, Meta, Spotify and TikTok may process data outside Switzerland or the EEA, particularly in the United States. Transfers must meet applicable legal requirements, such as an adequacy decision covering the specific recipient, suitable contractual safeguards or a statutory exception. Ask us for information on recipients and safeguards used for a specific operation.
Retention
Enquiries are retained as needed to handle them and protect legitimate claims. Account data is kept for the duration of your account; deletion can be requested. Booking and accounting records may be subject to statutory retention, generally ten years where Swiss accounting requirements apply. Backups are overwritten through operational backup cycles; data required by law is exempt from deletion.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data delivery or portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for the future. Appropriate identity verification may be required. You may complain to a competent authority, including the Swiss FDPIC or Spanish AEPD.
